I am excited to be a part of HRMA because it offers us a chance to all get together and learn more about the concentration, as well as offering events and activities to further our knowledge of the subject. I love karate, cooking and eating with friends, and studying anything and everything that's not related to science. My goal for this year is to seize the day, as they say, everyday, and maybe a 3.5.

I love to learn new things about Human Resources through the club and am really excited about becoming a part of HR games this year. I love reading, photography, basketball, and volleyball. My goal after graduation is traveling all over Europe for a few months.

I'm excited to be a part of the HRMA Executive Board this year because I know it will be a very exciting and progressive year! We are going to create a fun, relaxed environment where club members can hear about what it's really like to manage people as well as share their own experiences.  When I'm not in classes I'm working at Ernie Ball as the Human Resources Assistant or taking in all the Central Coast has to offer in my last year here. I love having "family" dinners with my roommates and friends, and I love to dance even more!

I am excited to be on the HRMA exec board because I hope to bridge the gap between Cal Poly Students and the human resources community in San Luis Obispo. I plan on working closely with HRACC to help HRMA members find internship and project opportunities that might help them toward a future career. I love to go up to the lake on any given weekend, dance, snowboard, and go on road trips with my friends.

"Dr. E" has been faculty advisor for HRMA since 1987, so she has seen a lot of changes in the HR profession, and has established networks with many alumni of our program over the years. She has taught courses at Cal Poly in Compensation, Training and Development, HRIS, Cross-Cultural Management, and Staffing, as well as introductory courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels in HRM and OB. For the past four years, she has been chair of San Luis Obispo City’s Personnel Board, and members of her Staffing class have assisted the City in improving its selection process for Advisory Body commissioners. She likes to travel, and has lived abroad in both Africa and the Philippines. She always offers to host our Spring BBQ, and has been our coach for the HR Games for the past eight years. She is currently the Management Area’s Curriculum Coordinator. If you ever have a question about HR, it is pretty likely that she can answer it.
